Method behind the blog

So I decided to start a blog. Myspace just doesn't cut it for me. Honestly I miss xanga, I don't know if anyone even uses it anymore. But, I know several people who blog on this website so I decided to jump on the bandwagon.

This blog is primarily going to be about my feelings during the next 8 months until my baby is born. So far I've only known I'm pregnant for two weeks, and it hasn't been too much of a roller coaster. I have stressed out a lot, especially the week, but I think I might be getting a little better at controlling stress.

Unfortunately I essentially lost my job because of the fact that I am pregnant. Apparently the laws against discrimination don't apply to nannies. Actually, the fact that I was pretty much fired has gotten me extremely upset and I am considering taking legal action. I am not one to go around looking for reasons to sue, but when somebody commits an illegal act towards me I can't help but want to do everything I can to correct the situation. I'm not saying I am necessarily going to sue the family, but since they did break the law and end my contract, therefore costing me the $60,000 they would have paid over the years I would have worked for them, I feel entitled to some of the money. It's all very confusing and I don't know what to do in the situation. Any advice would be helpful.

The other thing that stresses me is lack of space for a baby in my 1 bedroom apartment. Ryan and I have been brainstorming and trying to come up with the cheapest possible solution to give us and the baby space, and try to make it comfortable for everyone. I know we'll make it work out, I just don't really see how at the moment. We're even considering giving the baby reign of our bedroom, and we'll sleep on a pull-out couch in the living room.... that is my least favorite idea, and we don't have a pull-out, so it could get pricey.

This baby is already lots of work and he/she isn't even born yet!! But I can't wait for the new addition to our family to arrive!
