Here's a funny thought

What if babies grew up thinking that all the crazy things we do to get them to laugh were the norm? We'd have some pretty weird people out there

Oh what a night

Tonight we did nothing special... but it was still a great night.

Ryan got home early, so we went for a walk along the river. We came home, ate dinner, and then played some soccer. We all practiced heading the ball, and Ryleigh practiced "kicking" the ball and walking towards it. Then Ryleigh went to bed and fell asleep after a couple little whimpers :-) Ryan and I randomly decided to make cookies, yum yum, and we played Rummy while they were baking.

Like I said, it wasn't super special, but it was so nice to have family time that didn't involve sitting in front of the tv all night!

And now I leave you with some videos of my peanut.

This is the first time she has ever managed to get food in her mouth right away, it usually ends up on her chin or on the floor first.

She's such a big girl standing up.... she can even do it with just one hand on the table!

This is a failed attempt to pull herself up, but the slow-mo fall at the end makes me laugh

My new project

When I went home this weekend my mom let me take my old dollhouse. After years of lots of kids playing with it it's in need of some fixing up. I need to re-wallpaper, and re-carpet the whole thing. The roof needs to be fixed, and shingled. It needs some new furniture, and I am planning on wiring it with working lights :-) This is going to be an expensive, time consuming project, and I am super excited about it.
I love decorating (my house would be better decorated if I could afford it). I love crafty stuff, and I love anything to do with fixing up houses. And, since I don't have a house yet, I am going to throw all my energy into this dollhouse. And maybe once I'm finished with it Ryleigh will be old enough to use it.

To Ohio and back

Well as most of you know we got to take a trip out to Ohio to visit Ryan's grandparents. We've been wanting to go ever since Ryleigh was born but it's no easy feat getting out there. Thankfully we have a wonderful daughter who didn't fuss too much about the long car ride out there, or back.
We were able to spend a Sunday afternoon with mom-mom and pop-pop who were absolutely thrilled to get to meet the great-grand-daughter they've only gotten to see in pictures. We also got to show them pictures of all the rest of the family members as well.
Now I'm going to share some pictures with you of our trip.

This is a pic of 4 generations of Weber women (but unfortunately only 2 generations managed to look at the camera :-(

I think this is the sweetest pic. Ryleigh looking up at her great-grandfather.
